Strong, thoughtful work from Tricia Linklater
9/10 · Sound
What stood out to me about Idiocracy (2006) was how Tricia Linklater handled the role. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
