Strong, thoughtful work from Barry Newman

I kept coming back to Barry Newman's choices here, especially in the smaller beats. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
