This role does not fully suit Cecilia Molinari

What stood out to me about Georg Friedrich Handel: Giulio Cesare At the Dutch National Opera (2024) was how Cecilia Molinari handled the role. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
