A useful but uneven turn from David Dadunashvili
5.5/10 · Art
What stood out to me about Emergency Landing (2023) was how David Dadunashvili handled the role. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
