Mark Charnock never quite convinces

Mark Charnock's contribution as Self gives Emmerdale: 50 Unforgettable Years (2022) a more specific texture. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
