Strong, thoughtful work from Guillaume Roussel
8/10 · Sound
What stood out to me about The Takedown (2022) was how Guillaume Roussel handled the role. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
