Strong, thoughtful work from Michele Riml

Michele Riml's contribution as Director gives Ave César ! (2024) a more specific texture. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
