Aki Toyosaki has good moments, though not fully even

Aki Toyosaki's contribution as Young Poppo (voice) gives anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day - The Movie (2013) a more specific texture. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
