Belén Hernández works in parts

What stood out to me about Trial (2025) was how Belén Hernández handled the role. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
