A useful but uneven turn from Laure Villemer

Laure Villemer's contribution as Costume Design gives My Guy (2018) a more specific texture. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
