Masaharu Tanabe is one of the stronger parts
9/10 · Sound
Masaharu Tanabe's contribution as Sound Recordist gives Yano-kun's Ordinary Days (2024) a more specific texture. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
