Nicole Reid is one of the stronger parts

What stood out to me about Hometown Killer (2018) was how Nicole Reid handled the role. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
