A useful but uneven turn from Mirko Filippi

Mirko Filippi's contribution as Assistant Director gives Paolo Rossi - L'uomo. Il campione. La leggenda (2022) a more specific texture. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
