NeJcion Davis has good moments, though not fully even
6/10 · Acting
What stood out to me about If I Can't Have You (2026) was how NeJcion Davis handled the role. A few scenes feel specific and grounded, while others fall back on familiar choices. There is some texture here, but I wanted a little more surprise. The performance has a clear idea behind it, but the execution is not equally strong throughout. It supports the film well enough, though it rarely changes the temperature of a scene. I appreciated the intention more than every individual moment. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
