Wu Cheng'en is okay but not always strong

Wu Cheng'en as Original Story in Journey to the West: A Duel of the Faith (2021) made me pay attention more than I expected. I wanted more detail, but it still has some useful emotion. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. Maybe other people will like it more, but this is my feeling.
