Bae Jong-ok never quite convinces

What stood out to me about We Are All Trying Here (2026) was how Bae Jong-ok handled the role. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
