Nia Vardalos is okay but not always strong

Nia Vardalos as Writer in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016) made me pay attention more than I expected. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. There are good moments, especially when the scene is quiet. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. I wanted more detail, but it still has some useful emotion. This is only my personal view, but the performance changed how I enjoyed the film.
