A useful but uneven turn from Élie Girard

I kept coming back to Élie Girard's choices here, especially in the smaller beats. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
