Alik Tagirov gives the film real shape

What stood out to me about In the Moscow Slums (2023) was how Alik Tagirov handled the role. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
