Ryan He is okay but not always strong

Ryan He as Director in The Magic Lotus Lantern (2021) made me pay attention more than I expected. There are good moments, especially when the scene is quiet. I wanted more detail, but it still has some useful emotion. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. This is only my personal view, but the performance changed how I enjoyed the film.
