Frank Nelson feels too thin here

What stood out to me about Devil (2010) was how Frank Nelson handled the role. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. Different viewers may value it more, but for me the effect was limited.
