Jean-Christophe Morin never quite convinces

Looking just at Jean-Christophe Morin's work as Pipeline Technical Director, there is a clear point of view in the performance. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
