Scott Curtis has nice moments but also some problems

I watched Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009) and Scott Curtis was one of the parts I kept noticing. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. I wanted more detail, but it still has some useful emotion. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. There are good moments, especially when the scene is quiet. Maybe other people will like it more, but this is my feeling.
