Marcella Plunkett never quite convinces

Looking just at Marcella Plunkett's work as Rachel, there is a clear point of view in the performance. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. My reaction is mainly about this specific film, not a judgement on the performer overall.
