This role does not fully suit Jang Dong-hyun

What stood out to me about Kingdom School (2021) was how Jang Dong-hyun handled the role. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. The performance is functional, but it does not leave much after the scene ends. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
