Strong, thoughtful work from Jeff Kaplan

Jeff Kaplan's contribution as Story gives The Fantastic 4: First Steps (2025) a more specific texture. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. It is not the whole reason to watch the film, but it meaningfully improves the experience.
