Alexandra Stautmeister works in parts

What stood out to me about Dead of Winter (2025) was how Alexandra Stautmeister handled the role. What works best is the balance between restraint and clear emotional intention. There is enough texture in the quieter beats to make the role feel lived in. Even in crowded scenes, the performance keeps a clean line through the story. The choices are controlled without feeling mechanical, which makes the character easy to trust. It adds value without trying too hard to dominate the film. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
