Hélène Theunissen never quite convinces

Hélène Theunissen's contribution as Mère de Sarah gives Ligie (2020) a more specific texture. The work never fully settles into the rhythm of the movie. I wanted more specificity, especially in the emotional transitions. Several choices feel too broad for what the scene seems to require. It is not a careless performance, but it feels under-shaped. That overall aftertaste is what stayed with me after the credits.
