I watched Sleeping Detective (2018) and 范向南 was one of the parts I kept noticing. The role needs more detail, but the performance stays on the surface. Some emotions are too simple, and I cannot believe the character enough. Many moments pass very fast, and I do not remember much after them. For me, it does not feel very real in many scenes. I do not hate it, but it did not pull me into the story. I remember both the good parts and the parts that did not work so well.
Maxwell Braine as Sound Designer has some moments that stayed in my mind. The acting feels natural, and I can follow the feeling very easily. I think this work helps the movie a lot, even when the story is busy. The timing is good, and the emotion comes at the right moments. There are small expressions that make the character feel more real. It is not too loud, but I still remembered the performance after watching. This is only my personal view, but the performance changed how I enjoyed the film.

Rüdiger Vogler as Patient at the operation in No (2021) made me pay attention more than I expected. I can understand what the actor wants to do, but not every scene is strong. The performance is okay for the movie, but sometimes it feels a little flat. There are good moments, especially when the scene is quiet. Some parts are good, but other parts feel normal and not very fresh. Maybe other people will like it more, but this is my feeling.
